How To:  Get Involved In Fencing

The USFA is the National Governing Body for the sport of fencing in the United States.  The US Fencing Association is located in Colorado Springs, CO near the Olympic Traning Center.

An Overview of the Sport:  There are three weapons used in fencing:  epee, foil and sabre.  The easiest way to distiguish between the three is the target area.

 Epee = entire body        Image

Foil = torso area from shoulders to waist        Image

Sabre = everything above the waist          Image
