Camp 1. $450.00 - training, meals (home cooked) and accommodations
Camp 2. $500.00 - training, meals, accommodations and a Canadian Domestic Circuit competition.
Housing information: Accommodations are at a Boy Scout camp. Participants will need to bring asleeping bag and a mattress pad, you may also bring a tent if you wish. Thesetting is outdoor and beautiful.
Camp Description:
Dev Camp -
designed to improve technical and tactical skills in all three
weapons. Development of physical and mental skills will be a
key component of the camp. Each participant will receive
private lessons from the coaches.
HP Camp –
designed to specifically target fencers who are competing at CSCʼs,
NACʼs, and International events. Emphasis will be on physical and
fencing preparation for the upcoming season. Each participant will
receive private lessons from the coaches. We will also have a
Domestic Circuit (national points gathering) competition on
Saturday and Sunday.

CampDescription: Excellent coaching from Jujie Luan, 2008 Olympian. (1984 Olympic Gold Medalist, 1988 and 2000 Olympian) Training will begin at 8:30 am everyday and will run to 4:30 pm with 45 minutes for lunch. The camp will be structured around improving high level skills and strategies in foil, and sabre. Improving physical fitness will be a key component of the camp. Each participant will receive private lessons from Head Coach Luan and/or other coach (TBA) during the camp. (Additional private lessons are available from main coaches upon consultation with them.) A fun swim trip to West Edmonton Mall's huge waterpark will be planned for the last afternoon of the camp.

CampDescription: Train with National Team sabre, foil and epee coaches and fencers. We have designed a program to prepare you for the upcoming season as a high level competitor or simply a recreational fencer: Physical training and preparation - Footwork and technical drills - Tactical exercises and instruction - Bouting and competitions - Group lessons. One year of competitive fencing experience is required.
Fencers should bring all appropriate equipment for the weapon in which they wish instruction. Electric scoring equipment will be utilized for all three weapons. Limited armory capabilities will be available. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged.

CampDescription (100 words or less): This camp is designed for serious fencers of all ages. Participants will experience the Empire United approach to fitness, coordination,and tactic. Description : This is a teaching camp designed to help young fencers improve their training, skills, and competitive results. Individualized lessons are given by professional coaches. Drills, bouting, theoretical instruction, strategy and tactical components, competition management are explained and taught. Application to bout situations is emphasized.
The Junior Fencing Camp at Penn enjoys a wonderful reputation. Many coaches recommend that their fencers come to the Penn camp specifically. We have been operating since the early 1980's with great success. Ask people who have been here!

Camp will conclude with an open fencing competition. Excellent suburban facilities near Chicago provide fencers an opportunity to train in a private gym, on property adjacent to a picturesque, wooded county park. The camp’s restful setting helps participants to focus on their preparation for up-coming competitions.
