USA Fencing to Honor 2017 Hall of Fame Class July 4 at Salt Palace Convention Center

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – Tickets are now available for the 2017 USA Fencing Hall of Fame Ceremony, which will take place on the evening of Tuesday, July 4 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Celebrating the induction of six fencing legends – three athletes and three coaches – the 2017 Hall of Fame class includes Olympians, NCAA Champions and accomplished coaches who have all had an incredible impact on the sport of fencing.

The inductees include:

  • Emmanuil (Emik) Kaidanov (State College, Pa.), 12-time NCAA Team Championship winning coach for Penn State and two-time Senior World Team coach
  • George Kolombatovich (Sarasota, Fla.), five-time NCAA Team Championship winning coach for Columbia University and three-time Olympic referee
  • Greg Massialas (San Francisco, Calif.), three-time Olympian and coach of the bronze medal winning U.S. Olympic Men’s Foil Team in 2016
  • Cody Mattern (Portland, Ore.), 2004 Olympian and 2012 Senior World Team Champion
  • Eric Sollee (Dover, N.H.), MIT and Harvard coach who guided four athletes to the Olympic Games
  • Molly Sullivan Sliney (Bradford, Mass.), two-time Olympian and two-time NCAA Champion for Notre Dame

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 7 p.m. The event will include heavy hors d’oeuvres as well as two drink tickets per person for the evening.

Individual tickets cost $35 per person or interested attendees may purchase a table for eight in reserved seating for $250.

A limited number of tickets are available. Purchasing tables or tickets by June 30 is highly recommended.
