Following the conclusion of the petition period for the 2017 USA Fencing Election, the USA Fencing Election Committee has validated the petition of David Blake to join the candidate slate for the two At-Large Director positions in addition to those who were announced by the Nominating Committee in January.
The complete list of individuals running for the two At-Large Director positions is as follows:
Donald Alperstein (Denver, Colo.)
David Blake (North Billerica, Mass.)
Laurie Schiller (Deerfield, Ill.)
Ann Marsh-Senic (Royal Oak, Mich.)
Philip Sjostedt (Furlong, Pa.)
The 2017 USA Fencing Election opens on May 1 and closes on May 19 and also will include voting for candidates for the USA Fencing Hall of Fame candidate class that will be inducted in 2018.
Additional candidate information for both the Board of Directors and the Hall of Fame will be available on the USA Fencing website in the coming weeks.
Per the Bylaws, the two candidates receiving the most votes will be elected to the two At-Large Director positions. Results of the election will be announced on May 20.
