Withdraw

All withdraws must be received by the USFA by the posted withdraw deadline for a refund of event fees for individual and half the event fee for teams.

Withdraw through your membership profile under Competition Schedule" or by written notification via e-mail to Amanda Ward, fax, or mail.  Postmarks do not count.  No refunds will be given for withdrawals after the posted withdraw deadline. Refunds are processed 4-6 weeks after the tournament.


Division Qualifying Information Packet - The conductive bib in foil is required for qualifiers.  

Division Qualifying Individual Results Form - Division Qualifying reports must be received within 10 business days of the qualifying tournament.  Tournament Organizers:  The results reporting form is available as an export through Fencing Time v3.02 or later. 

Policy on Ineligible Fencers in Division Qualifiers

  1.  For Division qualifying events in which any ineligible fencers are discovered (i.e., age, classification, membership, citizenship or representing country), the Division and athlete(s) in question will be notified and instructed of the information needed to resolved the situation. Any missing membership forms, fees or paperwork needed to resolve the issue must be received by the national office within 10 business days from the time of notification of the problem by the national office.  Failure to do so will result in the Division qualifiers and/or classifications being recalculated based on the eligible fencers in the competitive field.  
  2.  No qualification or classifications will be awarded to fencers who compete in Division Qualifiers where ineligible athletes (i.e., age, classification, membership, citizenship or representing country) are allowed to compete until the situation is resolved.  
  3. All entries for the given championship will remain pending until the Division qualifier in question is resolved.
  4. Petitions or protests will not be accepted if the situation is not resolved.

Auto Qualifiers - as of 14 Dec 12
This list reflects: U20 and U17 who have met the points qualification path as of the 2012 JO's, April 2012 DVI Nationals, July 2012 NAC, October 2012 NAC, November 2012 NAC and December DVI NAC.  This list will be update after relevant Junior/Cadet domestic point events.  Qualifiers from Division will not be posted on the Auto list.

Eligibility

  • U.S. citizen OR permanent resident who has not represented another country in the last three years.

  • Current competitive member of USA FENCING.

  • The athlete's birth year falls in that age bracket OR on the national rolling point standings in the next younger age bracket

  • A fencer must be on the National Rolling Point Standings (NRPS), or attend the Qualifier and place in the appropriate place or percentage for each event they wish to compete in.

UNDER-17 (CADET) CHAMPIONSHIPS
Fencers must be born between 1996 and 1999 AND BE

  • On the Cadet NRPS^ on January 21, 2013 OR

  • In the top 8 of the Youth 14 NRPS on January 21, 2013 OR

  • Qualified for the Under-20 JO Championships (BOD, 10/04) OR

  • In the top 25% [refer to Table 1] in their Division’s Under-17 J.O. qualifying competition (BOD, 10/04)

^ Points will be awarded for places 33-64 at Senior, Junior and Cadet NACs if there are at least 160 fencers in the competition. These points will be used for seeding national competitions. In order to be considered on the point standings for the purposes of selection or qualification for each category there must be at least one 32nd place result and the total points must be at least: 275 for senior; 165 for junior; 110 for cadet.

UNDER-20 (JUNIOR) CHAMPIONSHIPS
Fencers must be born between 1993 and 1999 AND BE

  • On the Junior NRPS^ on January 21, 2013 OR

  • In the top 16 of the Cadet NRPS on January 21, 2013 OR

  • In the top 25% [refer to Table 1] in their Division’s Under-20 J.O. qualifying competition (BOD, 10/04)

^ Points will be awarded for places 33-64 at Senior, Junior and Cadet NACs if there are at least 160 fencers in the competition. These points will be used for seeding national competitions. UNDER 20 (JUNIOR) TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Division does not have to hold a qualifying competition.  Teams must meet the criteria below

  • All Club Teams and team members must be current club and competitive USFA members respectively.

  • No more than 3 teams per USFA member club per event will be allowed to enter.

  • Members of the U20 team must born between 1993 and1999

  • Members of the team must have represented the Club at a competition during the 2012-2013 Season. 

  • Club Team members must be U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents who have not represented another country in the past three years, and have represented the club in USFA competitions this season.

There are currently no Meetings, Seminars, Camps, or Clinics scheduled.
